RE: damaged hair

I've also heard that doing shampoo everyday is not good for hair. But 2-3 days in a week is good for maintaining healthy and clean hair which is required for maintaining damaged free as well as dandruff free hair. I agree with caffeine_kittie, hot oil treatment twice a month is really helpful for getting healthy and shiny hair. Big Grin

RE: damaged hair

three or four years ago I had long very damaged hair- A lot of sun damage as well as chlorine and the sea. I cut the lot off to a very short bob and as I bleach my hair it can become damaged and drab easy. In the last year or two in particular I have noticed-and my sisters my hairs condition sky rocket.

Limit heat styling -hairdryers and irons
Using salon exclusive shampoo and conditioner- I buy the most expensive one but I only buy it on special and in bulk then.
Treatments- I always get treatments when I get anything done at a salon. plus I use a treatment instead of conditioner once a week.
Leave in treatment- There are heaps available and you only need a small amount to rub into the ends of your hair-usually something with the name of seal the ends works well.
Trims- I have been growing my hair out long and I still get a trim every month or two just to stop split ends creeping up the hair and damaging the whole strand- it does happen.
