i hate them yes i said i hate them all i do is cry my eyes out and my hubby is laughing at me because i cry at them then i feel like a ass of myself when i go so i don't go to them

well...the last wedding i went to was in a village...and i was very very young...so ican't remember anything...
but i don't think i would like to go to one... i don't hate being dressed elegant, but i am not a very tidy person, and i hate it when others look at me while i eat, or dance (clubs or BD-partyes don't count ) and i just don't feel comfortable among too many elegant dresses people who try to act smart..and i hate elegant shoes... :roll:

so i just say NO to any wedding i can...

... i forgot to mention how expensive it is just to attend a wedding ! I think it's really stupid, these days when you are invited to a wedding you are expected to give the grooms a "gift" of a few hundred euros ... which totaly sucks, instead of being happy for them and just enjoy a good time and make THEM happy for being near them in their time of happiness.... you have to sacrifice your salary for 2-3 months just to be at their wedding!

You're right it can be very expensive to go to weddings. I've only been to a couple myself and they were quite some time ago but I do remember that buying a present can be extremely expensive.

I went to 2 weddings this year and i had to give "gifts"... but for me it's easier... everyone knows that me and my bf are living alone and that he is the only one working (his salary is 400$) and they know we can't afford much...

For the most part, I like weddings. I mainly just tag along with my family and don't have to do much talking. :wink:
The only part I'm not crazy about is the having to dress up. I hate wearing dresses and I feel weird in them. :roll:

I'd love to go to one, but I've never been - only to the reception but that was good fun anyway.

Me too. It doesn't feel like me... and the high heels... oh, the pain...

Ugh, my grandma thinks I should wear high heels with mine. :shock: AHHHHH
