It is never ok for a man to hit a women. I have helped several women get help by going to shelters or from womens groups. In fact it is never ok for anyone to hit anyone.

I just cringe when I hear this. No one should have the right to do this to anyone. God, how can such jerks live and breathe? :evil:

I was never hit by a man. I don't know how I would react ... since I practice Karate for the last 5 years I kinda guess it would get messy and bloody since I won't let anyone beat me like that ... The problem is that most of the women are too well behaved to have such a reaction. We're taught we need to be feminine and gratious, we're not taught how to kick a guy in the balls or punch his nose to pieces. This is why most of the women who had to go through this ordeal were just left with no reaction to this aggression. You have been taught to be a woman, no one taught you what to do when the idiot raises his hands against you.

This is why I always thought that Martial Arts classes are useful NOT because we become a killing machine (we're still limited: smaller body size, lower strenght than the average man), but we LEARN to react in such cases. Learn HOW it is to deliver a punch, how it feels to be on the receiving end and so on. It prepares us emotionaly more than just being a "nice woman" as were taught in childhood.

NEVER be ashamed or feel guilty for what you had to go through. I think that you all are brave and great persons. I don't know if I was able to survive such a life. Don't know if I was strong enough to go through this. I am so happy to hear that you're all pass this and it's just an ugly memory.

wow Hun, you said a mouthful lol..and I totally agree..thanks...my son just got his black belt from Chuck Norris this year, it took him 10 years but he a power house..your keeping me smiling hun with that pic!!
