There's already a serious situation for some: a very bad relation with the mother-in-law. Others get along just nice. What's your case?

Well I will be honest with you all we dont get on at all.She has never bothered with her grandchildren my 4 kids but will have my hubbys sister one child at the drop of a hat which really upsets my little ones when she comes over with his sisters one in the car they always ask why cant nanna have us and I do always have to give excuses to them.We did have a big fall out for about a year but nothing changed at all so I started to talk to her again for my hubbys sake as it is his mum.Just given up now.

OOOHHHHH MIL grrrr.... i have sooo many stories about her but i won't go into them right now...lets just say i dunno how my poor hubby survived his childhood there! He left home as soon as he finished High School and went to a Uni 8hours away just to get away from home!! She's terrible and i'd never trust her alone with my daughter! Hubby left her there for 10mins while he came and picked me up from work and Izzy was sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor with the utensil draw pulled out for her and place on the ground for her to play in and as i walked in was about to put a big knife in her mouth!! I screamed at MIL and took Izzy and left! I told my hubby NEVER to leave her alone with her again! By all means go and visit with Izzy but never leave her alone with her!
I was FURIOUS!!

my mil is my best friend! we get along great! she treats me like her only daughter, since she only had boys we love to do girly things!

yeah i thought we might get along better after we got married cuz she's got 3 boys but nope...she doesn't want that by the looks of things!!

My MIL and I get along pretty well. I have some issues with her from a situation she started when she was here last, but I am trying to move away from that. I just don't like how she deals with things. All in all she is a nice person and my husband loves his mother, I know how he feels because I feel the same for my mom. But we get a long, she's nice and that's all that matters :lol:

my mil and i stay out of each others business. few things i can gripe about is that she never has the time to visit my boys even though we live in the same town, my bf takes them to her work so she can see them. i never leave my boys with her bc i don't really trust her.

We tolerate each other. it's the most I can ask for in this life

My boyfriend's mother is a very sweet woman. She treats me like a daughter and I like to spend time with her. She loves to take me shopping and she totally spoils me, buys me clothes and nice things. I adore her. :wink:
