Marlene's Dairy
July 17 2007
11:10am EST
Beautiful Day here in North Carolina. As I sit here in my living room at my computer I wonder what will the day hold for me. Will It be a good day? or will it just be one of those days that nothing special seems to go on around here? I don't know. For the last 6months I've been pretty stressed out with having to deal with a legal matter I foolishly got myself into. My 'former Best Friend' gave me her debit card info over the phone during last Christmas so I could pay my car payment and buy a bus ticket for Melvin to come home. So, I did. About three days later she calls me up bitching and cussing at me about how I 'stole' some money from her account without her permission.
Well, Not knowing what she had been smoking the previous days I asked her if she remembered telling me I could use her card and she flat out DENIED EVER SAYING SUCH A THING!
Well, Ya'll can pretty much guess where this is going and it sure did go there. Two days la8ter there was a knock at my door and guess who was standing on the other side? A DETECTIVE! Yeah come to find out the Bitch had called the cops and had them come to my house have me drive to the police dept where I was fingerprinted picture taken and arrested (no handcuffs). Turns out she had me charged with 2 counts of a Class H felony of obtaining property through false pretenses! :x I was pissed off! So not only was I arrested and charged with that but my name was in the paper and the whole nine yards. Everyone that knows me was like 'Marlene, What in the world is goin on' This is so not you. Well, Duh! I thought. So from Jan 2 of this year until June 30th of this year I have been driving downtown every single Tuesday and Thursday to sign in at some sort of probation thing.
I couldn't leave the County, State, or Country. Then on top of all of that My Grandmother on my Mother's side dies tragically in the hospital while being left unattended. This happened in April of this year. Our families (Mine and my Former B/F) have known each other for alot of years. My grandmother use to take care of her father when he was alittle boy and that's how we became friends despite the fact that her father is a racist bastard from the bowels of hell!
I could NOT believe that she was doing all of this too me. Now it's all settled and finish all I have to do is pay back court costs in the amount of $365.00 when the only thing she was out of was $150.00 which she knew about all the time but it was a case of her word against mine. She called me when my grandmother died and told me she was sorry to hear about it and her and her grandfather wanted to send some flowers and come to the funeral. OH HELL NO! I told her. You better not show your face at MY Grandmothers funeral or else there will be more than One. :x
Now that it's all over she doesn't want to talk with me anymore or anything. She's acting as if I did something to her when in actuality she's the one that gave me the damn information from the card in the first motherf^@king place!
I'm getting mad just rethinking about the whole ordeal right now so I'm going to end this start of my diary and the next time I hope I'll have something alittle more happier to add in.
One Hell of a way to start a Diary Huh?

I am so sorry to hear about this. Adi and I are shocked. This is not friendship ... that's for sure. It's better to be off such a bitch. A friend shouldn't do this, that's for sure ...

Oh thats so nasty! You better watch out how you pick your friends... i learned from mistakes like this myself... I have only one question: why didn't you tell the cops to verify the phone conversation? That would have been much more easier... but still i'm glad it's over

I agree with you that it's a huge shock. I discussed with Adi (aadryana in the forums) since we're best friends and we were both shocked. I have the key to her apartment and I trust her as much as she trusts me. It's an awesome feeling to have someone to rely on like this ... but your friend.... unspeakable ... I am glad it's all over... Just recover from this shock and don't worry anymore. You surely didn't deserve this

i'm so sorry for you.. and i'm shocked also!!!!!! Even if she wasn't sober at that time, she could have asked you to reimburse instead of going to courts.. but then, losing trust in everyone just because of an untrustworthy person is not worth it!
Life's unfair, we all know it.. i'm so sorry for your grandmum also..
