I remember those days as a young mom. Now I keep just my stuff and since I'm small I try to keep my purse small

wallet, 2 checkbooks, address book, mom's important cards, cell phone, mail, bills to pay, lab work order, keys, tootsie rolls, lipstick, sewing kit, a knife/cork screw/screwdriver/wrench gadget, just-in-case pad (but I haven't had a period in 7 months...hopefully menopause has kicked in), pillbox, coin purse, and heartburn med.
And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin

My mom always said that as a woman gets older her purse should get bigger. I don't know if that is necessarily true. I've never been big on carrying a purse. I prefer a backpack. It always contains at least one mechanical pencil (usually a couple actually), some refill leads, a couple of pens, a notebook, a journal, tampons, an electronic dictionary, burts lip gloss, a couple of rubber bands, tissues, and whatever books I'm reading. Depending on where I'm going and how much writing I need to get done I might have a laptop in it as well.
