What's your best piece of furniture?

A topic for us all to brag about our furniture. Do you have something you are very proud of? Maybe a superb sofa? Maybe a nice chair? Come on girls .. brag Smile

I don't know if I have any best pieces but I want to brag about a bargain I got. I needed a new couch as our old one was falling apart so we went shopping for one mostly in second hand stores as we don't have a lot of cash to spare. I got the nicest, most comfy couch you could imagine (I'm biased though). It's chocolate brown in colour and it only cost me $35.

I havent lost my mind ... its backed up on disc .. somewhere

I love love love our bed. It was insanely expensive and is insanely comfortable!!! I avoid it during the day because once you lay down in it its really hard to get back up again. Its like floaty on soft billowy clouds..... smilie

Smile It is Gabi! The other night my hubby and I went on a date while my mother in law babysat. We came home just 2 hours later to find her stretched out on our bed....
What is your dining piece like? I really love antiques.....I love the smell of old wood. Its always ingrained with years of the peoples lives that surrounded it. .....(make sense?)

Zoe it totally makes sense. I love antiques also. This is solid oak with claw legs. It doesn't have the original chairs but I have collected an array of old chairs and had them redone. I love the eclectic look in my house. I have a country cottage and it is very circular and all rooms connected. It has a very feminine feel so I use these large pieces to create balance.
